Escargot Floor Lamp

Escargot Floor Lamp

Escargot Floor Lamp by Nemo was originally designed in 1951–52 by Le Corbusier,  for the public spaces of the Unité d’Habitation in Marseille. Taking inspiration from its namesake, the form echoes the spiralling shape of a snail shell — a rare instance of organic, sculptural language in Le Corbusier’s work.

Crafted in burnished brass, the lamp includes an internal reflector that directs light upward and outward, creating soft, diffused illumination. Both architectural and artistic, Escargot is offered as a limited edition and remains one of the most distinctive designs in modern lighting history.

A true collector’s piece with monumental presence and timeless intrigue.
